    The Revo-Rack has been manufactured by us in the UK since 2016 it is made from 25mm T5 Aluminium & Magnesium tube and thus the frame only weighs 1.7kg. The design of this rack allows it to fit in under 90 seconds, no bolts, no brackets, no straps, no hassle & no paint damage : ever. We manufacture the rack in either a polished anodised finish which is similar to chrome, or a version that's powder coated black. The\u00a0 E85 needs multi directional fittings due to the 'hump' in the boot lid, all detailed below and in the store<\/p>\n

    Revo-Rack has been independently tested by TUV Italy part of the global TUV testing and certification business. The rack went through speed, braking and force tests, to ISO 11154:2006 the international standard for car roof bars and the European Directive for general safety 2002\/95\/CE. Revo-Rack passed all these tests : It won't fly off !<\/p>\n

    The Revo-Rack uses vacuum cup technology it sits on three 115mm vacuum cups these are rated as being able to hold an 18kg load each. These can in theory hold a 54kg load. Vacuum cups are not the same as suction cups they are much much stronger and were developed in the late 1960's to hold film camera's to cars.<\/p>\n

    Vacuum cups employ the force of atmospheric pressure to grip a surface: When a vacuum exists between the cup and the surface on which it is attached, the weight of Earth's atmosphere holds the cup in place with incredible force.<\/p>\n

    Unlike suction cups that produce a vacuum as they pull away from the surface, Revo-Racks vacuum cups use a hand-actuated pump to efficiently remove air from between the rubber pad and the attaching boot\/trunk lid thus creating a much more reliable hold. Because the full face of the pad is brought into contact with the boot\/trunk lid, distortion is reduced, allowing the cup to be used with very little risk of damage.<\/p>\n
